Hello there my fellow Avalonians, When watching "The Porter" I couldn't help but notice, that it's basically a blatant rip-off of "Place Vendome"... Not tongue in cheek, at all... "Place Vendome" is a french film featuring Catherine Deneuve, that was released to mixed reviews a couple of years ago... I loved it, though... I know that it's just Mercedes promo, but still... A little originality wouldn't hurt, right? Let's hope that Bryan got a nice car out of the deal... But as a consolation, the new version of "A Fool For Love", is intense and passionate in an understated way... Just my five cents... It works far better as a piano and vocal piece than the Mor orgy that plodded through the centre of Frantic. Surely a fuss free unplugged album (of originals) would be a top seller? Also, the background music has short clips of the tunes from that era. The final piece of music as the ad ends?.............."What's her name, Virginia Plain". I suppose this doesn't guarantee that they will be nominated but I live in hope!
