I think we should all be grateful to Sir Elton for his tirade against Madge! What should have been a moment of celebration was trashed by a totally innapropriate dedication, goodness knows what the other band members thought. Great to see TGPT included properly for once. That was my reaction too. I quite like my heroes to have feet of clay but BF rather tests my tolerance these days. A rhyming Berkshire reference springs to mind, not totally inappropriately as it turns out. Lee S ____________________________________________ Easily distracted? Displacement activity a problem? One can like the music and disagree with "his sons actions", but not all of Roxy's fans will imho make this distinction. - -- Daniel ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 5 Oct 2004 09:02:14 -0500 From: MarlanaK@webtv.net (M.M.K.) Still like his music though. I can't keep up with lurking, let alone posting. Somehow I felt to post now a link where you can find another interpretation of "This Island Earth" . . . The same song with quite a different angle... (8 MB download) (A belated reaction to a posting about Melissa auf der Mauer's "Love is the drug"...) Celtic Frost. Hold on to your speakers. And I should warm for a perhaps discomforting picture. TV ad with BF music Sorry if anyone spotted this before - I don't read every post Anyway, Shock !!! I've just seen (05/10/2004, 'round 19:00 - French time !) an ad on TV, featuring a soft tune sung by BF, taken from "As Time Goes By", being (after a quick check in the CD booklet) "U do something 2 me" (also Prince-fan, ain't I ?!?). Cool, nice image, and so on, until the product exposition. Well, it's no fox-hunting. But it's definitely "not cool". McDonald's. HEEEELLLLL. I have nothing against McD (been to one last weekend !), but... money, look, credibility, charm, taste ? Anyone considering raising a fund to help BF, for a man should never loose his dignity this way, even for a multiple 0 cheque ?!? Sincerly yours, Xavier ^_^ [IMAGE] C est le moment de dynamiser votre bonte mail en cliquant ici ! ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ End of avalon-digest V9 #253 **************************** ======================================================================== For further info, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: info avalon-digest
