Thanks. http://bugmenot.com When you visit the BugMeNot site, click the bookmarklet link to place a bugmenot icon on whatever name Microsoft (assuming you use Internet Explorer on Windows) uses for its bookmarks bar. BugMeNot works best when set up that way. Thereafter, follow the procedure below. 1. Whenever you visit a well known site that demands free but onerous registration procedures to be completed (the NYT, LA Times, the Times of London, etc.) you click the bugmenot icon in your bookmarks bar. 2. A new, small browser window opens, providing you with one or more combinations of user name and password for the specific site that you're visiting. 3. Pick one and enter it. 4. In the rare event that it doesn't work, report the account as broken. Using BugMeNot does very little for privacy (and let's not even get started on how much or how little privacy you believe we have today) but it does save the hassle of remembering passwords and user names. Supplying information to BugMeNot and/or simply using its services of course breaks agreements that you or someone else may have entered into with various publishers. It works for the original article in the Spectator that was mentioned by Nigel Hollis in his post - try it after having added the bugmenot bookmarklet. Mr Eno called mr Ferry's office relaying a message that he [mr Eno] really liked I thought on Frantic, Mr Ferry told me. Is Brian Eno, btw, producing the forthcoming U2 album?
