Hi all, Coming out of the lurker's shrubbery to wish Bryan a speedy recovery. I hope he refrains from pushing his voice until it's completely healed. I also hope he doesn't have the same vocal doctor as Julie Andrews. We all know that damage to the vocal chords is pretty nasty stuff. But if the crowds are pretty sloshed anyway, perhaps he could just go out and lipsync . . . no, not a good idea. anyway, great list, it's fun to read and keep up. - -Tom <<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>> original music for adults: "http://www.emeraldsoul/com" ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 14 Jul 2004 11:39:43 -0400 From: KB Porter Subject: Re: [AVALON] Strepsils `aint no good I do not wish to argue any points here. I remain concerned as 'troubles with Bryan's voice' has historically hindered his ability to perform live on several occasions. My skewed thinking leads me to believe that Mr. Ferry's vocal problems are not the result of 'colds, laryngitis, bacterial or viral infections'. I suspect his problem may be more systemic - perhaps polyps on his vocal cords, or perhaps past abuse of his 'strings' has rendered permanent damage and prevents 'regular usage' of any appreciable duration. One doesn't know the reasons for Mr. Ferry's fleeting voice, but if there is a remedy, surely his 'doctors' should know and appropriately advise. -That is, if Mr. Ferry listens to them at all! Best wishes to all. The hope is that an unrelenting schedule since the ATGB tour snowballed has just taken it's toll on a 58 year old throat and it needs an extended rest. He can get into the studio and write some music. We may be hearing that instrumental album he mentions every so often !!! I've got to the point where I need my Bryan Ferry fix instead of a ticket refund!! I know - I'm a sad case! I think he tried to go back too soon. Hope he takes care of himself now!
