These tickets are #30 or so each and enough damage to his reputation has been done already. I am a bit concerned that messing so many thousands around will not do much good for future record or concert sales. One can only assume that Bryan (mainly) and his medical advisors felt he could perform perhaps a slightly shorter set as he has done from tiime to time. There was an announcement just before the show began (from the promoter I assume) to say that due to his recent illness Bryan would play a 'slightly' shorter set than normal. However I suspect that as the show progressed Bryan himself felt that he was unable to perform a 'slightly' shorter set and he therefore Bryan did the right thing in cutting it short before he did himself any permanent damage. As for the reaction of the crowd, I didn't personally hear anything heavy. Of course people were disappointed because they were enjoying the show, but it was fairly obvious from the exchanges going on towards the end between Bryan and team members that the set was drastically reduced so it wasn't a great surprise, in fact given the quality of his voice I was surprised it went on he went on as long as he did. The absence of an encore was disappointing - perhaps if he'd gone off after Love is the Drug and come back on to do LST then it might not have seemed so final? Also, perhaps had he said something along the lines of 'folks you've been a wonderful audience (he did thank the audience for their 'patience') but I'm sorry I'm unable to continue any longer - I'll do my best to make it up to you in the future' ........I don't know it's very difficult.......... Coming back to people not forgiving him, I don't honestly think that'll be a major problem. He may have a problem in getting promoters to put on outdoor summer events? My two friends who came along thought he and the band were wonderful and want to go to Gloucester on 24 July if its on and they fully sympathised with him. Any who were disgruntled were probably not Ferry fans in the first place and there were loads of people staggering around the place, sloshed.
