The thing I resent more is the constant reference to RM as being "British glam rock band Roxy Music" I find this a totally demeaning description for whom I consider to be a sophisticated futuristic band the likes of which had never been seen. Am I wrong in this or can I be allowed to continue on with my fantasy "shooting" of everyone who describes them thus?? Nigel, No you are not wrong. Definitely continue with that fantasy. As for you Richard M and Richard D......!!! What !!!! Stop it right now !!!! Please contact me off list. Charly Here beneath the comments Gene send to the Avalonlist few weeks ago. April 1' 73 Rainbow Theater (London) show with Eno. This was passed around a few years ago under the title "Once Upon A Really Good Time" which only contained 6 tracks and the quality was pretty bad. The quality of this recording is much better (as audience recordings go) and contains 11 tracks including the Amanda Lear intro. It`s not without it`s flaws but still worth a listen to those hard core fans interested in hearing an early show with Eno. Track List: 1) The Pride and the Pain/Intro 2) Do The Strand 3) Grey Lagoons 4) Beauty Queen 5) Bogus Man 6) Ladytron(cut) 7) If There Is Something (cut) 8) Editions Of You 9) Re-Make/Re-Model 10) Pyjamarama 11) Virginia Plain ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 10 Jun 2004 03:51:42 EDT From: Jocelynfiske@aol.com Subject: [AVALON] You know you're getting old when.... ....your favourite artist's new release is: a) being sold through Sainsburys b) Is on display as a suggested present for father's day c)...I've forgotten ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ End of avalon-digest V9 #146 **************************** ======================================================================== For further info, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: info avalon-digest
