It was the usual stuff with the awkward "red carpet" interviews with celebs. The presenter/commentator was Richard Bacon, who perhaps is most famous for being sacked from Blue Peter for dabbling with some Devils Dandruff. All of a sudden the camera zooms in on Bryan Ferry who seemed to be chatting happily with the crowd & signing stuff for them. Bacons commentary was along the lines of "And here we have Bryan Ferry trying to explain who he is to the young people". He also said something about BF looking like someone else but I can't remember who it was (it was late & I was tired)As they say sarcasm it the lowest form of wit. Cheers the noo! Stevie p.s. There were some gorgeous ladies on parading on the carpet, a coincidence given Bryans presence? p.p.s. David Carradine looked & sounded cool. I wonder if those burn marks on the inside of his arms have cleared up yet? ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 29 Apr 2004 13:09:26 +0100 From: "Cassidy, Chris J (RES)" Subject: [AVALON] Stars in my eyes -urgent! Hi everyone, Could someone kindly remind me whether an instrumental version of Jealous Guy or any of the well-known Roxy/Ferry tracks are available (not Karaoke) exists in the Roxy/Ferry catalogue? The only ones I can think of are 'Don't Stop the Dance', 'Windswept' (not sure if I have these anyway) and a couple off the extended 'I put a smell (sic) on you' CD which aren't really suitable as backing tracks.
