Good question Pete. Was that a typo? Did you mean 8 years?? Actually, you may have answered your owm question. It does come down to editing and mixing and re-mixing so that it sounds like a cohesive album even thou it may have been recorded over many years. The 2 things going against Bryan's ability to supply new product is his continuing writers block and lack of focus. Does he have his own studio (he should by now)? He could easily buy/build one. He also seems to lack ensusiasm (sp?), unlike Bowie who never tires of recording new material. I don't know why he seems to be lacking in output. He reminds me of my 3rd grade report card where my teacher said "Rod is a very smart student but has trouble applying himself". A song comes in my mind: You don't know what's wrong, you only know it isn't right. You don't remember for how long, but you wake in tears at night. Big deal. Big deal. You spend four nights a week now looking for your inner child. What you gonna say when you find him? Suppose you don't like him or he doesn't like you? Suppose once you wake him up he won't go back to bed and wants to stay up late watching TV? Everything But The Girl, Big Deal I'll think I'll put it on. - -- Daniel - who will like a coming Ferry album, but I'll believe it when I hear it ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 8 Apr 2004 17:45:51 +0200 From: f2hb@wanadoo.nl (2HB) Subject: Re: [AVALON] Why October ?
