Her site says the album will be original compositions in unexpected arrangements. I suspect one Mr Reece has now just died and gone to heaven (if he had the time). A while back we mused on who we'd like to see duet with Ferry and why. Any new suggestions with a view to, who knows, it might come true? Not quite the same, but I'd like to see him produced by either The Neptunes or Timbaland, get a little bit of sweet soul music back into the man. And completely off tack, but has anyone heard the new Harry Connick Junior album? It could also be described as original compositions in unusual arrangements. Fabulous Sunday morning lazing around music and made me dig out As Time Goes By again for the first time in many moons. Seconded. With Tricky and David Holmes remixes on the extended 12" vinyl singles, of which there would need to be three, in time-honoured style. The first would need to be released some time *before* the album, be promoted, be accompanied by a video - a good one, mind - and contain a track unavailable on the forthcoming album or elsewhere. All very old fashioned, I know. And I don't believe the "in this stage of his career, it ain't gonna happen" thing. Tell it to Tom Jones. (I'm not suggesting Bryan should become an irritating, shallow parody of a pop star but something can be done for his record sales and profile, at least within the UK.) ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 15 Mar 2004 10:33:21 EST From: KWil632057@aol.com Subject: Re: [AVALON] Je T'aime in Every Dream Home Chas And Dave! The MIDI player on phones like the SE T610/T630 is amazingly good but I expected Jealous Guy, Avalon and maybe Dance Away available for sale. Sign of the Times, Sea Breezes, Casanova and even Rock of Ages, though? Very unexpected. The songs and previews are here: Unfortunately for would-be MIDI thieves, the previews are in MP3 format. Here's Sign of the Times, as an example: My favourite of the previews is When She Walks in the Room. Awesome. ;-) ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 16 Mar 2004 05:57:24 -0000 From: "Tracy Elliott" Subject: [AVALON] New material >Yes, I'd rather he had a long break from touring if it meant recording new >material. >J Think you need to hunt out the Whatever Whenever (aka Taxi Outtakes) disk.
