Rome burned while Nero 'fiddled' in Antium! "The concert would have stopped, ONLY AFTER prying the mike from Bryan's cold dead hand." Sorry, but I find something very disturbing about that image. "Of course the old movie cliche of a stage announcement "Is there a doctor in the house" might have appealed to BF as well." Now that would have been very 'gallant' - in step with the image that most A-listers have of the man! The funniest quote of the recent Australian radio interview with Bryan Ferry was when the caller stated, "Bryan, my wife thinks your the ducks' guts"!! I assume that it is indeed a compliment along the lines of "the dogs' b*llocks" Cheers, Colette Mind you............I don't know what is complimentary about being compared to dogs b*llocks anyway!! ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 08 Feb 2004 18:52:03 +0000 From: "Christian H. Yes, he is, and I understand it doesn't sound like what we'd expect to hear from him. The thing is, I consider him to be so (...) good at emulating adapting to piano styles that he could have performed it in a more Eno-ish deliberately. Remember his interpretations of Ferry's piano parts in Roxy (Chance Meeting, Sunset et al.) BTW, on Eno's Nerve Net album, there is a piano part on The Roil, The Choke which is not completely at variance with the piano style on I Thought. Can't say I've heard 'duck's guts' used though. Maybe I need to get out more.... Scotty __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
