I guess Bryan will be winging his way to Australasia very shortly! Can we expect anything new in the setlist? Somehow, I doubt it. Still looking forward to it though... In today's 'Sunday Herald-Sun', there was a small article about the man himself - 'Soulful crooner Bryan Ferry likes to be a smooth, sharply dressed man, and his tour rider for the Music and Blues Festival (Melbourne) reflects just how image conscious he is. The stylish, former Roxy Music frontman has specifically requested a full length mirror in his backstage rooms. While most acts assume a mirror will be available, Ferry leaves nothing to chance. His rider also lists an iron and an ironing board as part of his personal requirements. If nothing else, he will be the most immaculately turned out performer at the festival. Ferry's tastes highlight his liking for a sophisticated, cultured lifestyle. He requires bottles of Dom Perignon champagne on ice backstage. He also has a preference for 'high quality' French wines. And fresh flowers in his dressing room are a must.' Ah well, nothing really surprising there. Hopefully, someone will introduce Bryan to our fabulous Australian wines somewhere along the line. Cheers all. Scotty in Melbourne __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! SiteBuilder - Free web site building tool. I for one will NOT be parting with any money for this item. It's completely and utterly pointless. Will the original single mixes/edits be used? Why not include b sides and remixes? Why not include singles by other Roxy members? Why not at least package them as individual CD singles in nice replica sleeves? Minimum effort as per usual. I also notice that the chronology has not been followed. Do The Strand wasn't a single in the UK until 1978. Slave To Love was released BEFORE Don't Stop The Dance and Windswept. And Fool For Love/One Way Love wasn't even a commercially released single in the UK, just a radio promo only. I'm sure most people could do a better job at home - just get the Roxy/Ferry singles discography, all your Roxy/Ferry CDs, a few blank discs and hey presto! You've saved yourself #30. It's definitely the sound of a barrel being scraped that I can hear...
