And I, too, found myself the only one singing along to that song. Everyone else had a bewildered look "What the heck album is this from?" Ha. But he didn't do Future Love Paradise Gotta tell you- he sounds great. Did a fantastic show here in DC, as it was his last night of the tour this year. Now he heads across the pond for the rest of you folks. There are two versions of the Bryan Ferry Mamouna CD single. I have two, count em two copies of the Digi-pack version. This is this the Digi-Pack with Jealous Guy (live), Slave To Love (live) and The 39 Steps (Brian Eno mix). BOTH are defective, the silver has come off the CDs, after they clouded over. Anyone else have this problem? Was the whole batch of CDs defective? If anyone has a good copy and will burn me one please E-mail me offlist. The pillows need plumping! I'm off for a session with the Dust-Buster and nylons. I seem to recall that Gallagher & Lyle wrote the song for him, or at least gave it to him. However, as he took so long in recording it they released their own version. It was of course Ferry's first hit single in the US - #81, I think! We'll never know, but I always felt that if Bryan had released Heart on my sleeve with Let's Stick Together and promoted them heavily, he may just have cracked America. I checked my cd's and found mine to be the same. I have other BF cd singles that are going bad. The only ones that seem to be doing this are the Virgin imports. Some are from England, some from Holland. The US Reprise versions are OK. Thanks for the heads up.
