I tried the 'HiDownload' program - and it seems to work. I will know when I test it some more tonight (I'm at work at the moment so haven't been able to check if it has actually downloaded the videos 'cos we are constantly connected to the internet via a network). Anyway, will let you know, Tracy >From: "Guy Lawley" >To: "'Tracy Connell'" , >Subject: RE: [AVALON] Bryan Ferry Basel concert on streaming video >Date: Sun, 23 Nov 2003 21:18:52 -0000 > >Hi Tracy, and hi to all; > > > >This link takes you to a page with lots of ideas. Be acreful if you have a dialup connection because download can take a long time. I used it over a network connection at work and it still took a while to download the BF video. It is available as trial version. Can't remember how much it actually is. Anyway, thought someone may be interested. I have never actually downloaded music before (even though I have a burner), and when I go to the concert I don't see any options for downloading the concert or saving the file. thanks, Pete S. ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 25 Nov 2003 00:53:33 EST From: Go2Sweeney@aol.com Subject: Re: [AVALON] Basel concert download In a message dated 25/11/2003 03:48:39 GMT Standard Time, seely31@comcast.net writes: > At the risk of being ridiculed and humiliated, does anyone have any simple > advice on how to download this show? You have a free trial period, and then you can purchase it for 17 euros or so for the rest of your life. I have changed computers since I first got it, and they sent me a new registration free of charge. Then of course you have the whole show as one track, which you don't want of course. But you can split the tracks with a wave splitter: http://claudiosoft.online.fr/wavsplit.html That is free. All you need to do after that is put the tracks onto CDs. Both programmes are extremely easy to use. Goodie p.s. Tracy, I have downloaded that streaming video programme as suggested. It seemed to download okay, but when it came to viewing the programme later, it did not come up. I obviously did something wrong. You have used it successfully? ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ End of avalon-digest V8 #324 **************************** ======================================================================== For further info, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: info avalon-digest
