As a Dutchie, I'm really very happy to be coming over for the event. I'm combining the experience with a long-promised visit to my dear friend Ruth in a York village. Though she is by no means daft, I had to update her on Roxy/Ferry (it vaguely hit a note: 'I had a colleague once who was mad about them', she remembered), and she had to get used to my craze over 'an old popstar' whom - admittedly at a very early stage in our discussion - she dared compare to Barry Manilow. Also, the idea of standing - and jumping - through the gig instead of sitting proved a bit of a shock at first. But she is a great friend, so she has promised to come along, secured the tickets and will be listening to a few cd's beforehand. I trust she'll survive - - and who knows, she might even be sparked off into a greater interest... From Amazona to Eldorado sure is a mighty long way... Who else of you Avalonians is coming?
