Deaf School I bought the double lp debut when the NME named them 'band of the year' or whatever. Really enjoyable, kitschy, and the gimmicky Vicar on keys. "Hi Joe Hi" is fun. I'll have to dig it out, if I didn't sell it years ago. Where are they now? - H. - -----Original Message----- From: owner-avalon@smoe.org [mailto:owner-avalon@smoe.org]On Behalf Of JFROXY@aol.com Sent: Wednesday, September 24, 2003 12:47 PM To: avalon@smoe.org Subject: [AVALON] OT. I knew of his work with Giles,Giles & Fripp, King Crimson & the not half bad McDonald & Giles album of 1970. (Fortunately I had blocked out of memory his tenure with Foreigner, never a favorite of mine. ) I really loved Deaf School too. Anyone ever figure out the connection of DS & Nastypop? There were references between the two on each other's album covers. I. E a soda can on a DS cover labeled Nasty Pop, and a note somewhere on an NP cover Deaf's Cool.
