Of all the Roxy books I've read, this one is the best. It sometimes (not too often) reads like an over-earnest schoolboy's English literature project and has its own fair share of mistakes but it beats the rest on the quality of its research. The Lazell/Rees effort is pure sycophancy. The late Dr Puxley's is amusing for obvious reasons and certainly not without its charm but Johnny Rogan's is way ahead for good gossip. I didn't enjoy what I read of Mr Stump's attempt.
