Hurrah for that. It featured the lovely shot of Bryan, Phil, and Andy that was used on the 2001 promotional material. Ummmm ... it featured the same text from that material as well. Exactly the same text. In short: Clear Channel sent me a postcard promoting the Roxy Music World Tour, 2001. In 2003. S. P.S. Incidentally, the other half of the postcard featured the altogether scariest pic of Iggy Pop that I've ever seen -- a very recent shot, of his grizzled looking face. It puts him a firm step ahead of Keith Richards in the "creepy aging rock star" race. I'm sure Iggy loved it -- and I do too. Between that and the date snafu above, that postcard's a keeper. ****************************************************** Susan Stekel Rippley Assistant Curator James Ford Bell Library University of Minnesota 309 19th Ave. South Minneapolis, MN 55455 ph.: (612)624-7040 e-mail: steke002@tc.umn.edu ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 21 Jul 2003 12:16:39 -0400 From: JJones7148@aol.com Subject: Re: [AVALON] Re: Jones Beach Thanks for all who answered questions a few months ago about navigating to and from Jones Beach. Fortunately, we have 1st row seats for our first live RM show ever!!! Coming from Dayton, Ohio, this is both our first trips to NYC as well. We decided that once we arrived at LaGuardia early Friday morning to rent a car for the day and see Long Island. We will drive back to the airport that night and get a cab to our hotel in Manhattan. We are about 5 blocks from both Radio City and Central Park. Please let me know the location and time for both pre-show meetings in New York... I missed the previous emails!!
