It's called "Lone Cat" and only comes on vinyl. "Off-topic!", you cry. But no, would I do that? Among the singers listed (in the new tradition of dance music, Ben Watt can't actually be *heard* on this track - unless the dub New Yoik hood toasting vocal is dubiously his) is none other than Sarah Brown. Now this could be my sister who has the same name, but it ain't. It sure isn't the country gal singer who also shares the same name, so I would suggest this is the self-same girl who features on the tail end of the Bryan Ferry 2002-03 Frantic tour. Also, I note that the one song (track/cut/whatever) shares its composition credits between Ben Watt and 7 other people. Given the number of words that feature, the number of words per person ration almost rivals that shared by Brian Eno and the co-writers of the additional lyrics to The Lion Sleeps Tonight. But no, Brian Eno and his chums still win hands down with the two words per person credit record. Will anyone ever manage to credit more people for lyrics than there are words? It can only be a matter of time. Apparently there's a version of the song in it; I don't remember and haven't had time to check it out lately. I used to have some songs by Spriguns of Tolgus, one being the Worm. If there's anybody out there with a file of that track or who knows where to get that album for under $25, I'd be very interested. Karen NP: Avian soundtrack to a beautiful Spring morning...
