Anyone who can make a decent copy of these should and then mail then directly to me! I also got a message on my answer machine from The Caird Hall in Dundee saying there will not be a new date and to call back and organise a refund. There were three backup singers at Live Aid, Ednah Holt & the Ubiquitous Fonzi Thornton were the other two. Article written by Ian Read Controversial Whitstable film-maker Duncan Roy has been stepping out with the former wife of rock star Bryan Ferry. Last month, model Lucy Helmore, 42, was divorced from the former Roxy Music front man on the grounds of her adultery but she is claiming #10 million as a settlement. Insiders see the liaison between the award-winning, BAFTA-nominated director and the aristocratic Miss Helmore as a curios one as he has previously come out as being gay. Celebrity has come late to 43-year-old Mr. Roy who was sent to prison for a credit card scam after passing himself off as Lord Anthony Rendlesham. Until he was sent to jail for 15 months in 1983, he passed effortlessly through the ranks of high society who didn't realise he was a cleaner's son from Whitstable. The couple are believed to have met at the Priory clinic where he was being treated for cocaine and alcohol at the same time she was. Mr. Roy, who is a regular at the town's Tea and Times sandwich \bar in the High Street, says: "I am not very sexual at all. I get involved with people. I have a strange relationship with sexuality and labeling. "From the very beginning I found men attractive but I have also had a quite a long relationship with a woman. "We don't have words to describe people who are more fluid about their sexuality. It is a lot easier to be in a relationship with a woman, and people have to accept the fact that no matter where I might have laid my hat in the past, I am certainly investigating other things." The former Sir William Nottidge School pupil (now the community college) admits to liking Lucy but doesn't like the baggage her multi-million pound divorce brings with her. He said: "Obviously, I am incredibly fond of her. She is an extraordinary woman, but how can she expect to have a relationship with anybody if this is the kind of palaver that anybody who gets involved with her goes through? "Everytime it is mentioned, my past is going to come up." In an interview with the London Evening Standard, he added: "Yes: I did lie, yes: I did steal, and yes: I do terrible things. But I am going to try to be a better person and do the right thing." A former friend of Mr. Roy, who did not want to be named, said: "Nothing surprises me about what Duncan gets up to. But one must remember he works in movies where you need a very fertile imagination. His version of events is not always the same as others." M ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ There was a young woman called M Who sat on Viggo Mortensen * He said, "Well M, my dear!" "Your waist brings such cheer" "I'll not look at another again!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ * A real-life event!
