Thanks everybody for last night's party. Special thanks to Johnny and Jocelyn who made all this possible. It was my first encounter with you lot, and what fun it was! Great to be dancing to our favourite music with all of you experts, miming the words and making Bryanesk or sensual background dancers' gestures. Remake/remodel was a lovely surpise to me. Special mentioning deserves Ron's very characteristic eyebrow-raising and tortured grinding jaws, Corblimey's hellraising keyboard-dancing-act and Leslie's creative sax-solos. But you, drummer and guitarists, were very good as well. And whoopee, I won a recording of Manchester 2002! Listened to it today, feeling as if I had sneaked in, inside somebody's pocket or bag, from where it must have been taped. No complaints about the quality though, it is excellent considering the conditions, and The Only Face differs interestingly from my Amsterdam version. And so do other numbers... Cheerio to Graham, Alan (back okay now?), Joep, Renate, Han, Han, Jimbo (you lucky bastard), Anton, (H)ester and all others!
