That being said, these compilations may have nothing to do with Mr. Ferry's desires, but may be contract obligations (perhaps still tied back to the reunion?). Of course that's possible. But it also is a means of staying in the public eye until something new is ready to be published. Of course there's a possibility of overload, but everybody's got a choice, and we all know that BF is a perfectionist, so there might be some wait. My fav. artist for example has brought out a new album in January, but is still bringing out a new compilation in May with the best sound quality to date. > > That being said, these compilations may have nothing to do with Mr. > Ferry's desires, but may be contract obligations (perhaps still tied back > to the reunion?). Also good one about the contractual obligations. I'm surprised at it also. Don't guess it costs much to put a compilation together, and some people will buy it because they're collectors. Glad I'm not one of those people. But I hope there are plenty out there. Bryan has made a recent comment about he doesn't think there will be another Roxy album, but he didn't say it very convincingly, in my opinion. I think there will certainly be another wonderful Ferry album and I hope he stops touring and gets to work on it soon. My greatest wish is that he writes new material and presents that on the next album. I want to hear what's in his head now, not 10 years ago this time, though I do love Frantic and still have it in heavy rotation! But Craig Natiello b who stepped into the prestigious position of creative director for the fall of 2000 b is ready. With a fashion philosophy that emphasizes no-nonsense silhouettes and tailoring, Natiello is the ideal interpreter of the Halston lifestyle b American style and elegance in simplicity and casual luxe. bI am most inspired by the women I dress,b he says. bWith their lifestyle in mind, I create designs that are comfortable and make them feel beautiful.b By bridging comfort with elegance, Natiello is poised to expand Halstonbs legendary look with a fresh and unique approach all his own. Born in Manhattan, Natiellobs fashion creativity emerged early. By 1979 when he went to Manhattanville College, he was already scouring the pages of Womenbs Wear Daily, Vogue and Harperbs Bazaar. He was so enthralled with design that he immediately entered Parsons School of Design after graduation. There he studied for one year until his undeniable urge to get first-hand experience in the fashion industry took over. Natiello began interviewing and immediately accepted an entry-level position at Bill Blass in the late 80bs. Several years later, Natiello was designated Bill Blassb assistant. Natiellobs dream of designing for women around the world was realized when he began creating memorable wedding trousseaus for women such as Marina Rust, Brooke Douglas de ObCampo, Lilian Wang, Alix Noel, Kim Hersov, Ashley Prentice Norton, and Jill Roosevelt, many which appeared in publications including Vogue and Town and Country. In addition to creating wedding trousseaus, Natiello also became a favored designer of Anna Wintour, Pamela Fiori, Elizabeth Saltzman, Whitney Fairchild, Jennifer Creel, Cosima Von Bulow Pavoncelli, Aerin Lauder, Lauren du Pont, Daisy Soros, and Lynn Wyatt.Natiello remained at Blass until December of 1999, when he was appointed designer of the Halston Signature Collection, where his understanding of the essence of Halston is an integral part of the re-emergence of the world-famous brand. His most recent designs have already been embraced by a distinguished coterie of celebrated artists including Sharon Stone, Elizabeth Berkeley, Patricia Heaten, Jaime Pressley, Antonia Bennett, and Star Jones.Today, as the creative force behind Halston, Natiellob s philosophy of fashion has remained true. Rejecting trends and fads in favor of a lasting signature look, Natiellobs innate sense of quality and taste epitomizes true American chic much in the same vein of that of Roy Halston Frowick himself. ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 2 Mar 2003 19:14:13 +0000 (GMT Standard Time) From: "Russ Brown" Subject: [AVALON] Nia gig Hi everyone first time on here for me,been a Roxy/Ferry fan for as long a= s i can remember I am going to the gig at the NIA in Birmingham and just wondered who else is going, and if There is anyone meeting up before the g= ig for a chat and a drink.=0D =0D Russ [demime 0.97c removed an attachment of type image/gif which had a name of IMSTP.gif] ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 2 Mar 2003 15:41:03 EST From: DEAGLERR@aol.com Subject: Re: [AVALON] Roxy/Ferry Compilation?? >>Amazon have listed a forthcoming Bryan Ferry + Roxy Music compilation album to be released 24 March 2003 called 'Essential' Great, just what we need, another "best of" It's like Hendryx releaslig more product AFTER he died. - -------------------------- As to Blank Frank.
