A shocking lack of Stockholm, Paris, Charleston, WV, Dallas, Houston and Austin dates took the grade down from A+ to A. But we'll have a Ferry party in Stockholm in June, we'll even take the ferry to see the Wasa ship, sunk in 1628. I'd wanted to tell that Emmy did some 5 GIGS with Roxy on the continent of Europe (which I saw - and I also saw 5 of the UK shows). Well, I added a 0 to the 5 and when I noticed that I'd already sent the e-mail!! I was very tired when I made the silly blunder - but when I noticed it I was rather awake again!! In the past 12 months, artists who have not had hit albums in a long time, among them James Taylor and Elton John, have been sharing the top of the charts with performers young enough to be their children. I won't be able to make the concert, but I'd like to hear him. I'm trying to figure out who the good Danish (and Swedish) artists are. For one thing, listening to some pop music might help my language a little more, and also help me to figure out this culture....so any other suggestions of danish or swedish music would be appreciated...especially from this discriminating and cosmopolitan group. If you could imagne Bruce Springsteen, Jack Kerovauc and Kurt Vonnegut all rolled up in one and singing in Swedish, you'd have Ulf Lundell. Lundell is also a leading fiction writer, his first novel is one of the bestselling first books ever. Start with the album "Kar och galen" and take from there, you have a back catalogue of 30 years to discover.
