Not sure about F1, I think I remember reading somewhere that he used to watch American Football. As a complete aside, went to see Paul Young with his "mexican" themed band "Los Pacaminos", it was a great show and they played covers of "He'll have to go" and "Wooly Bully" - Ferry Strange indeed! He was supposed to be one of the VIP guests there and to perform a few songs later in the evening --without getting paid of course, because the ball was a charity event. Every VIP guest had to pay 500 Euros for the ticket. I asked the promoter (himself) why Bryan wasn't there and he told me he had been "stuck in South Africa" because the German airline Lufthansa had been on strike. Well, this can't be totally true--he could only have been "stuck" in Barbados and Lufthansa was on strike for one day only, 16th January. So I think Bryan didn't appear at the glamorous Zarenball for personal reasons, whatever they may have been. Berlin's cafe society was a little disappointed about this, because most newspapers had reported that Bryan would be one of the guests there. Well, I saw Chris Spedding at his concert in Gelsenkirchen/Germany yesterday---and he was simply fantastic!! The venue was very small, an old pit building actually, but it was almost filled to capacity with about 400 people. Unfortunately they didn't give me the set list because it was hand-written, so I can only give you a few songs. Chris did an interesting version of "Don't Think Twice, It's Alright" which is totally different from Bryan's.He played covers of "Shaking All Over", "Let's Have a Party" and "Summertime Blues"--the audience was dancing. "Wild Thing" was another cover which I liked. Chris also played (and sang, of course) tracks from his new album "One Step Beyond the Blues" which is really good. So--- I can recommend Chris Spedding's concert!!!He was on stage with his band for about 90 minutes and he did two encores. Has anybody got a set list of his concerts?
