It really fills the rooms and, songs like Don't Think Twice gain just as much as San Simeon from the denseness offered by the format. Hiroshima... benefits from being remixed by Bob Clearmountain. There isn't a lot of difference between this mix and the Ash Howes version but the Clearmountain version is the one I prefer. Bryans voice sounds far more mysterious in this mix, far more haunted. I call into question the claim that I Thought has lost it's keyboard intro and starts straight with the lyric. Not on my version. It's there, present, correct and still the most surprising thing I've heard on a Ferry album since It's My Party. The static screens are ok, but it would have been nice if more time and effort had gone into the visual aspect of the package. The biography is a bit dull and treads familiar ground. An exclusive interview would have been far better. It's a good disc, bordering on great. Let down by the lack of visual interest. I certainly advise anyone with dvd equipment to add this to their note to Santa Claus. Critics warn that they may not see the wood for the trees,so many different nationalities are involved here. Problems arose earlier in the week when the usual in-house bickering and back biting was becoming frustrating for the Washington administrator. Santa has threatened strike action if the matter is not resolved before the weekend, worrying retailers throughout the nation who have sex, drugs, and Rock 'n'Roll stockpiled ready for the festive onslaught.......... Supporters were reported to be heard today, chanting 'Four More Years, Four More Years !' Lets hope a strike can be averted. NP. Ticket holders received a letter stating the reason for the postponement and that the show was, at this (that) time, going to be rescheduled in early 2003 and their tickets would be honored on that date. The big mystery is of course if this will mean additional US show dates when this occurs as to do a single show in Philly then just pack up and go back home would seem to be a bit spendy. That is unless of course there was some type of an insurance bond, rider etc., etc. which was in place at the time to take of any such unforeseen eventuality. In any case I am really begining to look forward to Extended Brooklyn Monster Dance Mix of Woolly Bully.
