I Prefer the theory that it was written for either Mary Fitton or Emilia
Lanier...........The thought of such a great work being written for a man is

     I agree with Colleen.  She's not being overly stringent about this.
Whether it was intentional or merely meant to be funny and self-deprecating,
it's a subject widely known to be controversial and emotional and many
people would find the sentiments hurtful to some degree. Maybe those things
are best said in private to people you know won't be offended by it. That
doesn't mean I dislike the people who took it there either, because I don't
at all and I hope they won't be offended by my opinion on this.
     Inferring that someone is a Nazi when they are only being a responsible
list owner seems awfully unfair.  It's not like she condemned anyone.  She
just said it's gone far enough.

For all of you who think I am some kind of Homophobic Zealot........May I
just say, that I was born and raised in Manchester, and I am proud to say we
have the largest and most active Gay and Lesbian community in the UK.
I am also proud to divulge that I count many gay and lesbians amongst my
closest friends, and anyone who knows me will testify to my support in
fighting gay issues and my tireless endeavour to equal rights for my gay
friends.
Having been brought up on Shakespeare and with an appreciation for his love
sonnets, I am only speaking of my personal feelings, in the matter of how
Shakespeare's words relate to me, This was not intended to offended any
practising Homosexual or Lesbians that are a member of the Forum. if my
words have caused offence that I would like to apologise........If you knew
me you would know that I would never purposely offend any of you
with regrets
