It's a lovely Unplugged album, one of the best Rod Stewart's ever done. I like his mid-70's period best. Incl The Killing of Georgie, The first cut is the deepest etc. NP Gram Parsons, That's all it took Daniel ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon Avalonians on tour 2002: http://helios.unive.it/~tcecilia/meetup.html US ticket sale info: http://www.thewebgal.com/roxymusic/ (updated weekly) ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 15 Dec 2002 12:43:54 +0100 From: Daniel Atterbom Subject: [AVALON] Bob Dylan Live 1975 Bob Dylan Live 1975 gives 22 live recordings of Dylan songs, two of which have been covered by Bruan Ferry: A hard rain's a-gonna fall and It's all over now, baby blue. It's a great selection, one of the best live recordings I've ever heard, from my favourite Dylan period. This excellent, all-but-definitive summary of the elegant British art-rock band was first released in Europe in 1995. But it's just been officially released in the States, making it far easier to find. Gorgeously packaged and including just about everything any fan would want, the four discs are a feast for fans of intelligent, romantic pop music. From Roxy Music's eponymous 1972 debut through their final studio recording, 1982's Avalon, lead singer Bryan Ferry and his pals fashioned a body of work heavy on glamour, seduction and sophistication. The band was a superstar in Europe, but on these shores scored only a few hit singles, such as Love Is the Drug and Avalon. Now's the time to catch up and discover,or rediscover, one of the very best rock bands ever. - ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- - --- Dave Ferman, (817) 390-7839 dferman@star-telegram.com ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon Avalonians on tour 2002: http://helios.unive.it/~tcecilia/meetup.html US ticket sale info: http://www.thewebgal.com/roxymusic/ (updated weekly) ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 16 Dec 2002 01:11:32 -0500 From: "Keith Shockley" Subject: Re: [AVALON] Bob Dylan Live 1975 - ----- Original Message ----- From: Daniel Atterbom To: Sent: Sunday, December 15, 2002 6:43 AM Subject: [AVALON] Bob Dylan Live 1975 and if that's not enough you know that ferry has added this disc to his collection.....AND the late great mick ronson is in the band keith np: lost cause / beck > Bob Dylan Live 1975 gives 22 live recordings of Dylan songs, two of which > have been covered by Bruan Ferry: A hard rain's a-gonna fall and It's all > over now, baby blue. > > It's a great selection, one of the best live recordings I've ever heard, > from my favourite Dylan period. > > Just the version of Hurricane makes it worth the money (and the face of > Denziel Washington flashes for me). > > NP Bob Dylan, Hurricane > > > Daniel > > > ___________________________________________________________________________ > To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon > Avalonians on tour 2002: http://helios.unive.it/~tcecilia/meetup.html > US ticket sale info: http://www.thewebgal.com/roxymusic/ (updated weekly) ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon Avalonians on tour 2002: http://helios.unive.it/~tcecilia/meetup.html US ticket sale info: http://www.thewebgal.com/roxymusic/ (updated weekly) ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 16 Dec 2002 02:08:17 EST From: DEAGLERR@aol.com Subject: Re: [AVALON] Bryan wins new fans In a message dated 12/14/02 12:38:24 AM, LizzieJim@aol.com writes: << some recordings including Bryan's Sonnet 18.
