Borrowing from Grant's tree guidelines, if you would like a copy of this boot, you must: 1. Be willing to send two good-quality blanks and a SASE for your copy. 2. Be one of the first five people to reply to this offer. Please indicate whether you would be willing to make additional copies for the avalon list. 3. Reply by Friday the 13th. 4. Understand that if you don't hear back from me, you must take my silence as a polite apology, that you were not one of the first five. (But you have nothing to lose in trying!) 5. Reply to me, and not the list. This is one killer song, no wonder so many people cover it. I don't neccesarily interpret it as speaking of relationship with a specific someone (although it could) rather it strikes me as speaking to the general sense of wonder, mystery, and awe that sometimes strikes us as we contemplate our place in the world and the universe. Very spiritual as it points us in the direction not of minimalisim but rather of the depth and beauty contained in nature and life around us. We are cosmically connected in ways that words are inadequate to describe...probably the most explicit of songs in the Roxy Music catolouge that has anything to do with (gasp) religion and spirituality. Suggestions of others perhaps?
