Hmm. Unless you're privy to heretofore well-closeted secrets regarding the circumstances of his birth, I'm fairly certain this would come as quite a surprise to Mr. Cale (who's apparently still laboring under the impression that he won't be 61 until March 9). -wfs ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon Avalonians on tour 2002: http://helios.unive.it/~tcecilia/meetup.html US ticket sale info: http://www.thewebgal.com/roxymusic/ (updated weekly) ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 4 Dec 2002 04:56:04 +0100 From: f2hb@wanadoo.nl (2HB) Subject: Re: Re:[AVALON] Test At 11:35 02-12-2002 +0000, Pauline O'keeffe wrote: >Testing,testing,123- your next dance please. For myself Alphaville was interesting and enticing, just like the Roxy albums of old it left me wanting to play it again as soon as Fool for Love had ended. Frantic, on the other hand with the exception of Goddess of Love and I Thought was ordinary. The re-recorded stuff from the Alphaville sessions sounded flat and a lot less imaginative in their Frantic form. On the whole Frantic left me wondering why he put out a lower quality product when he had such good material in the cans. I just hope that the next album doesn't follow it in style, or lack of it because of the reasonably good reviews it got in the press though it probably will. > BTW, many here have touted the wonder that is HEATHEN. > Sorry, I just don't get it.
