Bryan was great just Awesome, really fantastic. When the song Slave to Love came on I just got up out of the chair and was dancing crazy. I had to sit calm in the seats we were not aloud to go down to the stage which really stinks. People working there were telling me and many others please go back to your seat. Down by the stage hundreds were dancing so I just got up dancing by the seat with many others. Once the concert got going it was fantastic, The Thrill of it all came on which is when the concert really got going. Tokyo Joe started that was great then Slave to love came on bang that really brings fantastic school memories back from Birmingham to me. Loved the concert hope for many more, HOpe to hear from Roxy fans around what is your opinion and favorite songs? All the best Boys & Girls. With respect to viruses--I am asking that everyone without virus checking software please run a virus check. You can do it for free at www.housecall.com. I reserve the right to remove from the list folks who do not resolve virus issues in a timely fashion until they have fixed the problem on their end. With respect to full mailboxes--if your mailbox is full, your mail will bounce. If you are on the talk list, every message from the list will bounce back to me. Multiply this by the number of messages the list gets on a daily basis and by multiple full inboxes, and you can see the level of junk in my own inbox. For the sake of my own sanity I'm probably going to become more aggressive about removing bouncing addresses (you will go onto the bounce list which sends you one message per day with the info about getting back on the list). Also, since I'm here: "Why didn't my message make it to the list?" - --You may have been posting from an address not subscribed to Avalon. - --You may have attached an entire digest to your response. - --You may have used an administrative command in the first 5 lines of the message. - --Your message may be too long. I may approve messages in the 2 last cases and send them through, but otherwise I frankly don't have time to go back and fix or approve those other messages. Thank you for your assistance. It's "conversation," and folks on Avalon are welcome to express their opinions, even if they are critical or negative, about the music, performances, etc., of Roxy, Ferry, et al. Perhaps you'd like to share some substantive music-related converation with us? C. How Ferry does it I'll never know but after looking a little tired during the acoustic set he sprung into life with the opening bars of TOIA and drove himself on, on the back of an ecstatic full NIA. For me TTOIA just about shaded the night - simply awesome, better and more powerful than the original, if that's possible. Closely followed by a host of others, Boys & Girls, My Only Love, Tokyo Joe, a barnstorming LST and (Colleen will love this!) a superb Shame, Shame Shame. Hiroshima was sadly missed but never mind eh? I wasn't sure about the length of the acoustic opening. One or two numbers perhaps but five was too many in my view in such a cavernous setting. Perhaps in a more intimate setting, but it didn't quite feel right in the NIA. The Band were in great form throughout - faultless. What power. They are all stars in their own right. Thommo's grin gets wider everytime I see it! It was great to meet a few familiar and new faces - sorry I couldn't have stayed to chat longer on this occasion. Can't wait 'til the next one.
