It's the music that's important. I must admit though, I would be very disappointed if he had got back with Jerry Hall - can't stand the woman! But let's not give him any ideas!!! Just wish Bryan's new girl wasn't younger than me too(and by 10 years!). I've never felt so old in my life! I wish them well though - whatever makes them happy. Just keep the music coming! Anyway, I read that Bryan performed 'I thought' at a recent gig. Can't wait to hear that - it's one of my favourites on the album, along with 'Baby Blue' and 'Cruel'. Looking forward to the Paris concert now that the set list has improved. Anyone else meeting up before the gig? Each day, the newspaper finds a topic on which two people have sent in letters with opposing views and they headline the two letters Up with and Down with...today, it's Bryan's turn (accompanied by a cartoon illustration of the man). Up with... Even though they have only just let it be known that they are splitting up, it does not mean that Bryan Ferry and his wife have recently decided to break up. They may well have felt it best to keep quiet about it, perhaps even for the sake of the children. No-one really knows what goes on nehind closed doors. To judgebryan about his apparent swiftness in obtaining a new girlfriend is something that we should not do, since we do not have all the facts to hand. It is highly unlikely that he and Lucy decided to part company and then made an announcement about it later on the same day. They would have waited for a suitable time, presumably, and then gone ahead with informing others. Douglas Stirling, Cowley, Oxford Down with... It is absolutely appalling that Bryan Ferry is already going out with someone else so soon after the break-up of his marriage. It looks as if he feels no sadness about the split. On top of this, the woman (or should I say girl?) he is now seeing is less than half his age and not much older than the eldest child. His poor family must be completely shocked. He could at least try to be a little more subtle about his new romance. He clearly wants a much younger girl who looks very similar to his wife, Lucy, 20 or so years ago. What's that expression about trading in for a new model/ I do hope that he soon realises what he is doing, so that no one gets hurt further. I must admit I was disappointed when I heard the news of Bryan and Lucy splitting up and again when I heard the Katie news. However, I have resolved to reserve judgement until everything settles down and comes out in the wash. I was also disappointed to hear that one of our members has left. I can understand this, but who knows what goes on in anyone's personal life. We should be glad he's not a 'Gary Glitter' sort of person. I know Katie is only 21, but it's hardly the same. God....she's 10 years younger than me - boy, do I feel old!!!!!!! Anyway, I have a completely unrelated question. Whilst in LA recently I was in a K-Mart store (as you do...) and I heard 'More Than This' being played in the store. However, it was not our Bryan's version - it was a woman singing. Any ideas who it is? I didn't know this song had been covered. Do the strand does it! Just got back from The Copenhagen show last night. After the warm up by 2 (Irish?) guitarists, Ferry (wearing his weddingring) entered the Falkoner scene in Copenhagen. The almost sold out crowd of 2000 people, listend very quit to the opening set of very intimate songs. Perhaps the silence was a result of a chock of the over-priced beer/alcohol in the lobby. But slowly even Bryan got into the mood and started a very good party. The few people who wanted to get in front was escorted back to their places. But when the band played "Do the strand" the venue exploded and all got up and the spot infront was filled with dancing and happy people. The band enjoyed it very much. And when a guy almost dressed as Ferry from Lets stick together period got up in front, even the band smiled. That guy was the nearest lookalike of Ferry I have ever seen. The missing twinbrother of the Ferry? The show started slow but ended as a wild and crazy party. This was the most career coverig show I have ever heard from Ferry. Almost all his periods was covered last night. And the band was in great shape. No mistakes. Lots of young people were present and lots of "Wall Street" types also at the show. Fellow Avalonian Holle ( the best looking and well dressed woman in the crowd, by the way) and I had front row tickets and Bryan decided to sing and dance deadright in front of us (or rather Holle). If we had 4 meter arms we could have snatched the microphone! This will be the closest I ever will be to the band. Great seats! The fourth time Ferry has visited Denmark in 12 months. So we have been spoiled! Afterwards it was time to have a walk and a beer in Copenhagens "Nyhavn". A magical place with outdoor restaurants in a canal area almost in the middle of the city. And the weather was the perfect companion in a magical indian summer night. 20 degrees, no wind and the moon shining over the Danish capital. Lots of people in the street enjoying the last nights of a very good summer. T-shirts and other Ferry stuff was sold in the bar afterwards. The official program is worth every penny.
