Does this show hold the record for the fewest number of pieces performed in any 'public admissions' Roxy Music concert? Was this show not an 'ordinary' concert - why so few selections? How did anyone who attended this show feel about it? What was its running time? Please, I'm curious! Also, what was the longest Roxy Music show in terms of 1) time, and 2) the greatest number of songs played? Where? When? What was the set list? Any recollections? Best wishes. Why? Your guess is as good as mine. Better, in fact, since I don't even have a guess. You're right about the cover: it's a deliberately-blurred photo of early Roxy, with Eno as about the only recognizable member (due purely to his distinctive appearance). But I must admit -- after the recent discussions of the quality of the "Frantic" cover art, I took one look at "Reflection" and thought "Now that's good cover art!" :-) And on a personal note: it's a year to the day since I saw Roxy in Minneapolis. And now we have the very welcome news of the next North American dates! I can happily say that this tour will offer me the chance to see my favorite musician in my favorite theater (Ann Arbor's Michigan Theater), plus the intriguing opportunity to meet up with Detroit folk! And even if the set list isn't impressive, there's always dessert at Amer's to follow the show. best to all, Susan ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon Avalonians on tour 2002: http://helios.unive.it/~tcecilia/meetup.html ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 31 Jul 2002 10:39:52 -0700 (PDT) From: Joel Hurd Subject: Re: [AVALON] RE: Ladytron - --- DEAGLERR@aol.com wrote: > While we're at it.... > What is this CD REFLECTION , Amazon is offering? > > Disc: 2 > 1. The Stranded version was quite lacklustre IMO, but the Musikladen live performance is simply sublime. I'd like to know what others think of this live version of PSALM? The disc also contains a video of the song. Ferry is very entertaining in it - such quirky movements, and the peculiar faces he pulls! :-D And he sings the song with great gusto (the real way to do it). Great video of Psalm, great performance.
