I believe that a lot of CD deterioration is due to the dye used to press
the image on the top of the CD. I am not sure if the picture is imprinted
first or the cd 'burned' or pressed. I don't know if this makes a
difference. CDs are burned through their top layer so I highly reccommend
that you DO NOT use cd labels on any of your cd collection. The adhesive in
the back of the labels will perish and sink into the cd rendering them
useless. Therefore I also suggest that permanent marker be avoided as well.
The jury is out on that one. It is a scary thought that the longevity of
cds may actually be very short - it would pay to keep an eye on them and if
they are particularly precious please make a master copy for your own sake.
I also  think that people should be worried about their video collections.
Video is terrible - poor image quality, deterioration and acetate based so
can suffer vinegar sydrome - video should be copied or digisted. Get into
those dvds! Video likes Cold/dry conditions as do cds and tapes.

I must admit, I do like the Dylan songs on 'Frantic'.  Tho I like 'Baby 
Blue' a lot more than 'Don't Think Twice'.  'Baby Blue' is my favourite song 
on the album along with 'I thought'.  A great beginning and a great end to 
the album. I'm not at all stuck on 'San Simeon', tho perhaps it will grow on 
me?

I do prefer Bryan's own work, but I think that Frantic is his best solo 
release since 'Boys and Girls'.  He really surprised me with it.  I really 
don't care how many Dylan songs he sings in concert, as long as he sings 
'Slave to Love' I'm happy.  :) Does that sound sad?

Anyway, thats just my 2c,
