No Clowns!!! That does it - I refuse to go to Any Circus that hasn't a Proper Clown! But on second thought, depending on what costumes the 'dancers' port... >> I had dinner with two circus performers last night, and they HATE clowns. They are hardcore Trapeze performers, and whenever Clowns came up in the conversation, they pointed out that most serial killers in America were part time clowns.... Now, if Bryan were using Ventriloquists..... Andrew in Chicago HA! A little bad blood at the Circus? Do Tell. You are right though, John Wayne Gacy was one and that's how he was able to cover up his horrible deeds and fool just about everyone. Was Dahmer one too? Speaking of celebrities, Mr. Tough guy and master rap sampler ( and no talent) P- Diddy ( or whatever he calls himself these days) has a fear of clowns. No Frantic in Chicago, but XRT has been playing cuts. The DJ's love it. The other day Lin Brehmer played Baby Blue and then played the first minute of Hard Rain's Gonna Fall. I was coming out of the shower and screamed YES! He played it to explain to the morning listeners that this was not the first time Bryan has done a Dylan cover. Of course yours truly (along with any Avalonian listening at the time) already knew that. I tried to call him to first thank him (great taste) and to let him know that Frantic has already been released outside of the US. No one answered the phone, besides I was going to be late for work. I try folks. ..keep me hanging on the telephone.... Much to my daughters horror the lads who commented on Frantic have since borrowed my For your pleasure & Manifesto albums. I thought they may be on the right level for 17-20 yr old males . I wait with much interest to hear their comments. I very much doubt if they would have been interested if they had heard Mamouna playing on the stereo in place of Frantic. Lets hope this album has done Ferry some good promoting his old stuff. Unfortunately my daughter has not got past the Ministry of Sound. _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com ___________________________________________________________________________ The subliminable footer says: To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 19 May 2002 12:10:53 -0700 (PDT) From: David Firmin Subject: [AVALON] Ferry fans frantic for gig From www.sundaylife.co A VERY special 'Ferry' is due to dock in Belfast early next month. For cool crooner, Bryan Ferry is set to make an historic first - as the first performer to grace the grounds of Belfast Castle for a free sizzling summer outdoor concert on June 4. The show, part of Radio 2's contribution to the BBC's annual Music Live parties, will be the thrilling climax to a four-day series of events from June 1-4, marking the Queen's Golden Jubilee celebrations. Ferry, 56, will be the first star to stage a concert in the grounds of the 132-year-old sandstone castle. Radio 2 spokeswoman, Stephanie Hardwick told Sunday Life that there had been an "amazing response" after broadcasting just a handful of on-air trailers for the event. "The 1,000 tickets were snapped up within a couple of days of the first on-air trails. "The general trails for our Music Live programming started on May 14 and the tickets had gone by the Wednesday! "The concert will be broadcast live on Radio 2 on Tuesday June 4, between 7pm and 8pm." Ferry will be performing songs from his new album, Frantic, alongside a selection of classic hits from his Roxy Music days. http://www.sundaylife.co.uk/news/story.jsp?story=296674 *** LAUNCH - Your Yahoo!
