Goodnight Irene has started very lively discussions. The best part is that no one is right or no one wrong (I personally like it). I love the relaxed and somewhat nonchalant way he sings it. It's so obvious he likes to sing this song, and found the great opportunity to release it on this something-for-everybody-cd! I just don't like it to follow A Fool For Love! I have reorganized the tracks a bit, and created a new copy...just for me ;-) At first I had left out Goddess and One way Love, but they are in again. Viva Frantic!!! Kari PS I have a new broadband address too. ___________________________________________________________________________ The subliminable footer says: To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 10 May 2002 23:23:10 -0400 From: "seely31" Subject: [AVALON] RE: Milan 2001 Courtesy of Dennis Laliberte and Richard Mills, I am pleased to offer a tree for the Milan 2001 Roxy concert. This offer is only to Avalonians in the US. I will make this offer to the first 5 respondants. If you do not hear from me, that means all copies have been spoken for. This is a B and P offer, though I would certainly welcome a trade, especially for Tokyo 2001. The rules are as follows: 1. Please send $2 for blank discs. Do not send blanks. My machine has had problems with certain brands recently (I will burn them on Fuji discs). 2. Send an SASE. Period. Do not send stamps and tell me to apply them. Do not send labels. Please just send the SASE so that I can burn them and send them as soon as possible. 3. Please indicate if you'll be offering the show back to the list. Great show by the way. No instrumentals. The whole show was of David singing all his best songs. What I was totally but pleasantly surprised about was that one of the musicians was Steve Jansen, David's brother, which was almost but not quite a Japan reunion of sorts. Anyway since when did they make up? I thought they weren't on speaking terms since Japan's or Raintree Crow's demise. It's hard not to be on speaking terms with your brother beacuse something that happend years ago. The group Japan minus David Sylvian toured the country Japan in the mid-90's I remember reading, when Sylvian was working with Robert Fripp. I read a story about Sylvian in Mojo where he gave the impression to be content with his married life in the US. Tin Drum is one of the best albums from it's period, imho.
