Seriously, thanks for that account, Chris. I will watch the show with an extra kind of enjoyment. Almost feels as if I was there too, actually. Nice! I'm pleased Ferry went down well. Is there a book open anywhere on Frantic chart positions? Anyone for Top 5? Exciting, innit? I'm no apologist for Ferry's organisation, but I really must take issue with these ill-informed comments. These dates have been under embargo to tie in with newspaper advertisements that will appear in the UK this weekend. Where do you think my information comes from? It was provided in full to me by Bryan's management on Thursday night, and posted by me in this forum early yesterday. Providing it earlier would have bombarded the venues with calls for tickets not yet on sale, and possibly undermine complex agreements with the various promoters and agencies. As ever, Avalon has received its information before almost anywhere else, and its members have been able to get preferential treatment with tickets. And yet, as ever, there is moaning. Some people wouldn't be happy if they were carried to the front row in a Sedan chair. I, for one, am grateful to Jim Lawn for supplying John O'Brien and myself with timely information for your use recently. We are building bridges here that have been broken for years, so let's not bite the hand that feeds us, and give credit where it is due. I'm happy to act as a messenger, and Jim gives this information freely, but remember that we rely on his patronage. If you prefer, you can wait until Sunday and read it in the supplements. As for the website, I've spoken to Jim at length about this, and he's never attempted to make any excuses to me about its problems, but I would tell you that there are issues affecting its past operation that the ordinary fan would be completely oblivious to. The site, www.bryanferry.com will, incidentally, shortly be getting an overhaul.
