The originals are usually the best, Eddies work on CL was indispensable, it was really an album which felt like a group effort, each member getting their "time to shine", but none shone brighter than EJ on ARGT and the closing section of OOTB. "Well we all know this is Roxy's 'Berlin' album and it fits fine". ??? as in Lou Reeds "Berlin" or Bowies "Low& Heroes". Great review Theresa. This past Saturday at The Roxy Cafe in Evanston, Illinois, some of us gathered to share stories, pictures, cds, hugs and good times! Many thanks to Andrew for making this happen! Andrew, Kelly, Kim, Pete, Jas and me. What a crew! I had a tape of "Frantic" with me and Pete had the Brussels 2000 CD which we so wanted to hear but the manager said due to restaurant policy they could not bend the rules and play either for us - SIGH. (Only to find out that they did not have a tape player, only a CD player). So it goes. It turns out though that the manager is a Roxy fan! But still couldn't bend the rules! Viva Roxy Music! Cheers to Bryan! Let's hear it for the upcoming Frantic! May 28th (is it?) can't come soon enough! Peace to all, Eileen in Kew Gardens ___________________________________________________________________________ The subliminable footer says: To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 2 Apr 2002 20:24:15 -0600 (CST) From: RDePRIEST@webtv.net (Ricky) Subject: [AVALON] Cleveland I'm a total newbie, I've posted once, but I will be in Cleveland this weekend and would love to meet fellow Avalonians. ___________________________________________________________________________ The subliminable footer says: To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 3 Apr 2002 07:12:39 +0100 From: "Guy Lawley" Subject: RE: [AVALON] RC Mag - Frantic review Thanks a million for that Johnny.
