Neither are there 'tickets' - just a guest list to be checked on the door with proof of identity. This has precluded the way that tickets were bandied around for profit last year by the unscrupulous. The applications we received were forwarded in the order they were received by us, (as that was seen as the fairest way), to Jim Lawn at Bryan's Office for verification. Although Jim had the power to veto anyone on the list I can tell you that there was no significant alteration to the list that was returned to us. Over the last couple of days there have been a few drop outs from the guest list, and new people have been promoted up that list to fill those vacancies. Basically, if you were amongst the first to apply, you will have had at least the offer to be there tomorrow. Physical remoteness was not a reason to exclude applicants, as one guy is coming to London from Texas for the recording, and others from the European Continent. We were very heavily oversubscribed. Indeed personally I had a much greater number of applications at Roxyrama alone than there were places available. We have waited as long as possible to make the announcements, as we were hopeful that further tickets might be made available, or that cancellations might be made. Myself, and particularly John O' Brien have worked very hard to facilitate tomorrow's events. I must also say that without Jim Lawn, who acted promptly in contacting John and myself when the TOTP2 appearance was finalised on Friday last week, NONE of the people on that list would be going tomorrow, so credit where it is due please. Pretty good, though once again, as most of it was made in Germany, there is dubbing over the top (they don't like using subtitles !). A quick rush through the whole lot from 72 up to the 2001 Tour. Vid clips, 'live' bits, etc. Some interesting footage I hadn't seen before, Roxy in 73 on the FYP Tour pre-gig, with the Band getting ready, an Eno promo Vid for 'China My China' in 74, and a 'live' Mamouna tour clip, looked like outdoors, as Bryan was wearing the beret and the coat, and, naturally, that scarf. All only about 30 secs to a minute of each, though. A lot of interview footage from Bryan, Phil and Andy during the 2001 Tour, filled out with chats with Bryan from 1994, and Eno from the same time. Also chat with Phil and Andy in the early 90s, with Nina Hagen. There was some 2001 Tour footage, which looked like it was from Munich, with clips from Remake/Remodel, Ladytron, and Street Life. Arte Channel clearly have some good archive footage though, which has never properly seen the light of day. Pretty good hour, though it was impossible to hear a lot of the interviews, as the German dubbing was straight over the top. Translations, anyone ? Reecey... Yahoo! Although we expect Roxy Music DVD to be made available in the future, we have received no release date information for the product at this time. The new DVD has not been solicited to our catalogue department and consequently the title's release is probably not in the near future. Unfortunately, www.HMV.com sells a very limited number of CD singles on-line at this time and the Bryan Ferry CD single is not currently available on our site. If you are interested in purchasing a CD single, we recommend visiting one of our retail locations. If the single is not already in stock, you can place a "special order" for the item. The store will order the product for you and, if it is still available from our suppliers, will hold the single for you when it arrives. If you do not live near an HMV retail store, we suggest contacting our HMV Superstore in Toronto to arrange for a mail order purchase. You can contact the HMV mail order service by dialing 1-800-567-8468. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that you will visit us again in the future.
