On TV, there was a news item that announced this event to raise money for London's RADA theatre school with performances from the album. On TV, they mentioned that the audience might expect Alan Rickman, Robert Lindsay, Richard Attenborough, Annie Lennox and Bryan Ferry. But then, that may be only because they are five of the artists on the album. Tickets range between #14 and #45 (so expect Bill MacCormick to enter discussions online anytime soon!). The box office are as informed as ever they are. They have NO IDEA who to expect on the night. But I should say that there are only about five musical numbers on the album (Ladysmith Black Mambaso, Annie Lennox, Des Ree, Keb Moe and our Bryan) so the chances are much improved on his appearing than it would a particular actor who appears on one of the remaining 48 tracks. I'm taking my daughter Charlotte who's also hoping this will be her 6th sighting of El Ferrari. Me too, although I took out some insurance by snapping up two of the cheaper tickets available. Let me know if you decide to take the same gamble and maybe we could meet up? I kicked myself for letting the Meltdown festival go, so decided I couldn't miss out on this chance, even if it is far from certain. My daughter and I went to see Depeche Mode a few years ago. When the band came on-stage, being vertically challenged, my daughter stood on her chair. With no warning whatsoever, the grown man behind us pushed her off the chair and over the chair in front of her. The result was three fractured ribs for her. We pressed charges and when we went to court, he had to pay a two hundred dollar fine and attend anger management classes. We've only seen DM once after that and my daughter was so nervous of being assaulted again that she was miserable and we left before the show was over.
