A nice service - though their UK dates are incorrect in most cases, by 4 days. For instance - Jealous Guy went to No 1 in the UK on Tuesday, March 10th 1981 (my 23rd Birthday !)- though records usually printed claim it was the 14th March - which was their 'week ending' date - which most publications use, for some reason. From 1987 onwards it's worse - dates are 6 days out, as the charts were published, from then, on a Sunday - though all reference books take the following Saturdays date. So, if you've got a real howler of a song for your Birthdate - don't worry - adjust it by 4 days and you might get a good one ! Or, unfortunately, it could have the opposite effect. While I'm looking forward to this album I must admit that I'm starting to wonder who it will be marketed at. I can't see it getting the coverage that ATGB got, after all had a hook in that it was a set of songs from a specific era and that attracted folk who weren't traditionally Ferry fans. Thom has also heard some of the stuff that he's been working on and said it was very high quality. I've not heard 'Don't be Cruel' yet but I'm sure it's good. However I do sincerely hope that it's not on his new album, I'll be desperately disappointed if it is. (A 'b' side to his number 1 single perhaps?!) I would like to think that Bryan can put together at least 8/9 self compositions that he's happy with from the past 7 years (1 song per year). Anyone know if Feb is still the planned month for release. If so, presumably some details/promotion should start to appear early in the 2002 - here's hoping! The fact that we've not heard anything about it recently makes me wonder whether it's been further delayed. As I've said before when I'm loading the CD I'll believe it!
