Is there a possible explanation for the fact that the band would not perform the biggest hit of the album on their tour? Going through some of the 2001 set lists and recordings I discovered that it was not performed at all on the first European leg of the tour, but for the first time in Toronto and then on all American and Australian stops. In Sydney it was actually performed as a meddley with Avalon (maybe to distract from the fact that Yannick was missing for the end of the Avalon song)! It was not dropped again until the end of the tour. Listening to some of the 2001 recordings it definitely does not strike me as a highlight of the tour. There are some nice solos but somehow it does not sound very together soundwise. I also liked the original version from the remaster Manifesto CD best., hope to hear a recording of that 88 tour one day. The way "Dance" is pronounced in that song, is that at all possible/ correct in British English or only American English ? ___________________________________________________________________________ The subliminable footer says: To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 13 Nov 2001 19:11:36 +0000 From: "Christian H. I have it as a 2 LP set on Centrifugal Records called Music For Palaces but there are many cleaned up CD versions around and anyone spending just a minimum amount of time searching should have no trouble locating a copy for much less, if not free, than what it will bring on sleez-bay.
