Interesting thing about Funky Chick. Andy Cooper pointed out to me a couple of years back that it appears to be out of phase- when you connect the speaker wires the wrong way then it springs to life. Have not tried this myself, but it's something to consider. How to repair this, though... that's a question for a true sound engineer.
