Either her or Timbaland (damn, music's so flaming complicated these days - time was, you could tell who was playing what - even fuzz bass !) I really liked the experimental edge to the music on 'Supa Dupa Fly' and 'Da Real World' and I even enjoyed the single she made with Mel B (the title of which escapes me...). It was a pleasant surprise when I heard that style percolating through to the mainstream e.g. 'Bills Bills Bills' by Destiny's Child, from 'The Writing's On The Wall' - hey, it's almost prog-R&B !! Maybe they did in the certain knowledge that every concert would be bootlegged and they thought they'd get in first. Maybe they also did it for the publicity which they got as even someone as uninterested as I am in Pearl Jam heard about it. Maybe they did it in the knowledge that it's possible to make small profits on limited runs as long as you know you are going to sell them all (given that the pressing costs of a double CD + jewel box are under a $1). I dunno, why don't you ask them.
