(Fell for them at my first ever rock concert at the tender age of 16) The similarities between Roxy and CAN are not really abundant, apart from the fact that both being very suitable for ecstatic dancing due to hot rhythms and a certain wild and raw edge, but CAN is way more on the rhythm side while Roxy is stronger on the melody side. I knew that there where some loose connections between CAN musicians and Brian Eno, him and Holger Czukay did even a live performance together pretty recently, but I thought that is it as far as connections go. Until tonight for the first time I watched that TOTP2 video and discovered this weirdest of all connections: I almost fell of the chair (lucky I was lying on the floor at the time) when I read the onscreen text explaining that one of the two girls on the country life album is the sister of Michael Karoli, CAN's guitarist !! Anybody has got an idea, which one of the 2 is Constanze Karoli? And the other, Eveline Grunwald is credited with designing the cover art for Holger Czukay's album "On The Way To The Peak Of Normal". Anybody knows any more anecdotes about the encounter between Bryan Ferry and the 2 German girls? Any other CANophiles out there in Avalonia? Any other known connections between the 2 bands?
