Touring Europe by car, we had taped lots of Ferry cassettes to be played in car. On a stroll around the area, I heard the most gorgeous music coming from an Alcove of a store front . Went to ck. it out . There was this girl & guy very trained in the Classical Music Field. She on Violin he on guitar. When they played Bach,Schubert,Brahms,Webber, etc. what beauty. This girl on Violin would put Lucy to shame. She played the Violin, & that music as if they were one & the same. I was mesmerized ,by the intensity she played her music. It didn't take lone for a crowd to ensue. We watched ,we listened , we cried. So moving, these two people. They were selling their Cd & tape to dedicate it to the City of Vukowar.I'll never forget LIdija & Miro. We spoke , we bought their beautiful music. To play along with Ferry as we journeyed on our drive thru out the trip. ----What this leads to ------In our SOTW instead of beating what we think Ferry's reason' for writing is & etc. Why not write what we were doing when we first heard a song & the impact it had on us at the moment. Keeping it clean of course. Many here have named their children after Roxy & Ferry. May be a new slant at a different angle & may provoke a lot of interesting stories. I was a bit worried at first, when the audience was seated. I thought that Bryan looked a bit tired. Then came "Dream Home..." and a few people went forward towards the stage. I didn't hesitate then, so I ended up almost at the front. Two songs later, as I looked behind me, everyone was on their feet. The band enjoyed themselves more and more. Did I say that Bryan looked tired? Well, he must have forgot about it. I've never seen a better performance. The crowd was very good too, stamping the floor. The atmosphere was thick with enthusiasm. And yes, I even saw Chris Spedding smile after one of his guitar duels with Manzanera. I've never enjoyed a concert more than this one. I've read one review of the show, in the danish paper Jyllandsposten. It says, among other things, that "Roxy Music did, in an impressive way, draw a thick line under their justification 20 years after their split-up", the band "...radiated joy and talent", "very stylish", "perfect in form". I'd also like to thank you, Kari. Without your enthusiasm I'm not sure that I would have waited outside the stage entrance for nearly an hour after the show (in spite of the security peoples' words that the band had left). Well, perhaps only he can answer the former, but all clues point to Jason Greshes. My 6th anniversary here is coming up in a few weeks, and when I joined there were maybe 30 members -- Bahi (under a different name), Gene (back when he had not only full first and last names, but a "Mr." in front of them), Roberto, Colleen, the recently resurfaced DavdMock, Hoon Shin (who just barely qualifies as having resurfaced), a whole bunch of folks not heard from at all in some time, and, yes, yourself.
