An announcement for overseas distribution should be coming shortly. To participate, contact myself or Rick and send either 2 CD blanks & a pre-paid and addressed return mailer, or a CD tradelist if you prefer. Thanks, Carl & Rick The other trees are being handled by others who hopefully will repost. My deepest sympathies to folks here who have lost loved ones and co-workers. Colleen<< .... Gang, rest assured this post by Colleen is because I opted out of getting in a circular arguement with Colleen. I let it drop at her last off list email to me. Ergo: - --I did not answer her off line response, and she seems pissed about that. I addressed you OFF LIST, Colleen, as I have on other occassions. I addressed you OFF LIST, because, as I told you OFF LIST, I consider you the rudest person on this list. Why? Because within days of my returning to this list after a long abscence, you began attacking me personally. You try and ride rough-shot over this list with high horse bullying ways. To see you "humanize" yourself on the list was very shocking to me, indeed. You are one of the most condescending (your word) people I have ever encountered on the Net. Many months ago, I addressed you OFF LIST, and cordially requested you to "include me out," to cease referring to me ever again on this list. Why? Because you are clearly a type of person who cannot seperate the difference between commenting on a person's comments, and commenting on the person. To me, you are a type-age. The kind of person who sees these lists as a place to place their ego, make stakes, and fight little turf wars for fun. Sure, you have loyalists here, time will do that. I am sure they will follow your lead and attack me. I have seen many good people engage in horrible behaviour, just to defend an ill-acting friend on the net. And that is how I'll see it. Your techniques are insidious and borderline clever. Subtle digs, double meaning insults, riding the fine line of acceptable behavior etc. When I emailed you OFF LIST, I gently and politely asked you to cease referring to me in your posts, but to feel free comment on my comments if you like, just keep me as a person and personalities out of it. Reading comprehension must be a struggle for you, and conflict a desire, because you fired off an email to me demanding if I meant you could not comment on my comments??? - --I was pretty clear in my request, Colleen. And you will note, I spoke from the heart in my OFF LIST email to you, and apologized for feeling the need to brings those comments to you, but it was a genuine, well meaning, and HONEST response. I admitted they were hard words to bring to you, but they came from the heart. Your representation of them however, is somewhat deceptive and self serving. Your on list comments that day, were so in variance with your behaviour here on occassion, specifically to me, that it inspired me to TAKE THE RISK to send you that response OFF LIST. The fact that your ego is so low that you feel the need to comment on an OFF LIST communication, because obviously your FEELINGS and EGO were hurt, speaks for the vengeful and nasty streak in you that you have 'impressed' me with on this list. The fact that you attack me personally on the list, over an OFF LIST communication, speaks again, for your weak ego. The fact that you attack me here, over a private off list email, and then apologize to the list and say you will no go back to topic??? Makes my point, Colleen. You are a disturbed personality who seeks to control others HERE. I take my beefs to you, OFF LIST. Your response here is more than a little manipulative. I am sorry that your feelings were hurt, OFF LIST, but you need to look within and wonder why you have garnered this response from anyone. And yes people have told me off list they don't like your style here either. And you know why they don't tell you? It is another old internet game, if they tell you, you and your cohorts will attack them too. I ask your supports to think long and hard before attacking me here. I addresed you genuinely off line, you brought it here, Could it be because I chose NOT to get in a circular arguement or missives battle when I got your OFF LIST response???? Yes, you are "pity-able." Able to be pitied. And yes, straight up, you are one of those personalities that when I meet Avalonians, in IM, or exchange emails with them, the response to you is usually "Sheesh!" At least the people I come in contact with, do not see you as the benevelant Internet Queen that you seem to think you are. Food for thought. I do hope you find the healing you need. And you will get an apology from me, the day you have an epiphany and apologize for every time, and to every person you have been rude to on the 'Net. e _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp ___________________________________________________________________________ The subliminable footer says: To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 21 Sep 2001 22:51:25 -0700 From: "Eman 97" Subject: [AVALON] Further Explanation For those who care... Here is why some months ago I gently and respectfully requested Colleen to never refer to me personally again on this list... Once upon a time there was a guy who signed up for this list. Only thing was, he was not a Roxy Music fan at all. He was some young nerd who liked to sign up to mailing lists for fun, for the fun of attacking people and causing trouble. And he did this from his work account. He worked at an insurance company in Portland, USA. Segue: I understand I am a person of sometimes strong opinions, and I am fine with people contradicting or debating my opinions, that is a fun way to learn more, and learn more of others takes on topics. However, again, this individual liked to attack people, to attack personalities on mailing lists, just for his own entertainment. I was a member of this list and somewhere along the line this person decided to start attacking me here. And then it inspired some personalities like Colleen and others to play along in the game. And he even went so far as to get a co-worker to join in and attack me as well...just for some generic internet fun I suppose. But then he took it off line to my home email account, including encouraging his friend to do it too. Now, I had appealed to the "list owner" to nip this in the bud. But contrary to the stated terms of the list, the list owner thought it was okay to let this crap continue. Then, after I continually requested he nip it in the bud, and expressed the seriousness of the situation...the list owner put it to a vote here. Well, the nimrods that supported this individual, fired him up to attack attack and attack, supported him enough that he went over the line, with real life threats. Off list. Now, we often share our personal addresses when we send others CD's and do a tree etc. I could not take the threats idly. I have a family. So, I had to contact HR at this individual's company and copy emails to them. And I had to send copies of emails he sent to the security people at several ISP's this nimrod used (He was propably faking email accounts.) Now, he and his coworker emailed me to tell me they were fired from their jobs. Only funny thing, the co-worker both told me he was fired, and told me he was "promoted" (the fake email accounts and impostering I suppose). So I rejoin the list, and Colleen thinks it is okay to almost immediately attack me with rude comments directed at my moniker. Rather than risk this kind of tripe again, by asking her not to on list, I asked her politely and kindly off list. To which I got a typical heavy handed response. Now, I don't know Colleen from Adam, but I know her past behaviour to me. My off list comments were fair and well intended, even if hard words, they were not harsh, and they were honest. And since she had emailed me off list before (Daniel) I took the immense risk to tell her how I felt. Hoping in some way she might understand. Now, I will not re-post the rude attacks Colleen posted to me on this list. Some of you will remember them. Those of you who know me in good stead on this list may email me off list and I will share them with you. I have no doubt after you 'hear' what her comments were, you will agree that she was way out of bounds, attacking and rude. And as for apologies, Collen, when I emailed you off list, after your second rude attack, funny how it never occured to you to put 2 and 2 together and offer me an apology. And all I did was ask you to not refer to me on list again. best to the rest, e _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp ___________________________________________________________________________ The subliminable footer says: To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 22 Sep 2001 09:18:31 +0200 From: Daniel Atterbom Subject: Re: [AVALON] Worth a look At 12.54 -0700 1-09-21, David Firmin wrote: >Former Roxy guitarist Roger Bunn has become quite political. > >http://www.212.net/mihra/boardindex.htm Is it the same Roger Bunn?
