Hi Rickmond, Yes are still some very good seats availiable left for both nights at Hammersmith, best way to access them is through Phil Manzaneras web site on the UK tour dates page. Bit of a worry for the promotor & let down for the band I would think as the shows are only a couple of weeks away, perhaps they they really have outpriced themselves on this one, it will be a great shame if they go out on their last ever show to a 3/4 full theatre, this will not be stuff of Legends, still glad I have my tix though. Bryan seemed to love it . Never saw him so enthusiastic on this tour! Musically it certainly wasn't their best gig. Although most of the songs where played very well they made a mess of More Than This. Avalon was a bloody shame! Bryan was looking at Colin and he completely forgot to sing or he forgot the words, I don't know. Bryan chanced his singing on my only love compared to Wembley. He now was almost talking instead of singing. the music in my only love is wonderful but Bryan's interpretation isn't my cup of tea. The new singer, Vicky is o.k. she did a good Job on Avalon. No Yanick because of the situation in the states Lucy W told me that as long as Sarah isn't back they won't play MOP because it's to risky to do it with the new one. Although Bryan wasn't at his best it was the show I enjoyed the most. No seats so everybody was dancing and shouting and the band was very enthusiastic as well. Bryan said nothing about the situation in the USA. The reviews in the paper are quite positive although one paper wrote that only Out of the Blue was o.k. and the rest cheap nostalgia. One of the papers was shocked that they play Both ends Burning with the flames projected at the screen behind them. Antwerp was in sound and the playing of the band the best concert so far. They dropped MTT. Bryan dedicated While my heart is still beating to all people in New York and Washington. He should have done that in Rotterdam as well! Outstanding versions of Heart still beating ,Jealous Guy, In every dream home and B&B. In in every dream home Chris is playing a strange guitar with a round body. Anyone knows what this is? It sounds a bit like a sitar. Andy M said after the show that this was the evening where they were at their best. Before and after the show the normal gathering of Avalonions. Meeting the band. etc etc We had a great time, The mixture of meeting old and new faces, the concerts, after parties etc made it two very special days. That's the most lame excuse I've ever heard, firstly I would think if Vicky is a proffesional singer, she could pick up the song with just 1 or 2 rehersals, secondly MOP never had a female singer on Stranded or one used in the '73/'74 or '79 tours, I,m sure one of the other musicians could stand in for Sarah. Music is about taking risks, or it was in '72 when Roxy recorded their 1st album. Still no ITIS then? Please understand that right now there is NO Airmail service into the US. Thom just put them in the mail Friday - who knows when we will receive them here in the US. Once they arrive arrive I will have to find time to listen to the material, check the quality, get them cleaned up/do any sweetening, etc. This is not to "dis" Thom - this would happen with ANY material that comes available for wide distribution in a tree. When I have the CDs in my hand AND have verified that they are suitable for a tree NEXT I will seek other people to work the tree and cover the US with the CDs. Once a group of people have volunteered AND we have distributed the CDs to those folks in the US, THEN we can volunteer to provide the CDs to folks who are interested. I am currently doing the TMOQ tree - thats 8 CDs total in that distribution, I am still getting requests for other trees - and things are just a wee bit crazy at work and here in DC right now ... When the tree is ready - we will announce the US availability and provide a list of who to contact to get a copy of this material.
