TICKETRON in central London, Charing Cross Road, is a legitimate agency that ALWAYS has the best. I called for you, it is robbery but they DO have tickets: They START at #60, then they add VAT and whatever. They will probably cost you nearer #100 each - GOOD LUCK - I wanted to go to NY but could not get tickets, so I know the feeling. Pity we did not connect earlier, I could have ordered yours when I got mine - 4th row:) Can't wait, I went to Wembley and Birminham at the start of the tour but these are huge aircraft hanger venues, Hammmersmith is a nice small propoer theatre. If you are staying in central London you can collect the tickets if you are worried abour mailing - they are right by Leicester Sq underground station. 44 (UK) 20 (London) 7379 7106 Regards Andy Langley - ----- Original Message ----- From: To: Sent: Saturday, September 08, 2001 1:42 AM Subject: [AVALON] Hammersmith > I was wondering if there was any way to still get decent tickets for the > Hammersmith ( 2nd night ) show > > > ___________________________________________________________________________ > The subliminable footer says: > To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: > unsubscribe avalon ___________________________________________________________________________ The subliminable footer says: To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 08 Sep 2001 13:23:00 +0000 From: "Ann Marie Shaw" Subject: [AVALON] Last Shows?? Am so incredibly pleased to have this. Sound quality is outstanding and the artwork is to die for. Love having the artwork screened onto the discs themselves as well. Now I need to know what to do. I can send you some bills to help cover your costs ... So did I!!! Congrats and BIG Thanks to one and all involved. Just one thing . Disc One does not play. I have tried on my computer and my other CD Players and nothing. Maybe the sound was recorded? Dwyer (?) could you contact me on this. I too need to know here to send reimbursement. Oh one more thing. I would have liked to have strangled the fool who started to shout in the middle of Tara on Disc 2. A beautiful recording was ruined by this idiot. In my opinion he was not a Roxy fan. Just some luck stiff you happened to get a better seat than I did. WHY????? AARGH!!!!! The real Roxy fans in attendance that night ( The Avalonians on this list!!!) would have ganged up on this simpleton. I wish I had been able to have had a seat so close. The original Disk 2 I got from Gene did not have the bonus tracks on them. So Gene graciously sent me another disk. However, that replacement had a loud pop in between Tracks 1 and 2. In my world that wouldn't disqualify the disk but Gene has insisted on sending a perfect Disk 2 for the tree. I'm leaving tomorrow (Sunday) for a work road trip and won't have the latest replacement with me to work with. So, I won't be able to start filling BBQ (hey, look at that; how southern!) orders until I return next Saturday and therefore the mailouts won't start until September 17th. It covers the work of Mick Stone (i think that was his last name) who took many famous photos in the 70s of Queen, David Bowie,Lou Reed etc and of course Roxy Music. There are some really great photos of them from the Rainbow theatre gig and others and also of Bryan in his 'Havana man' period. Go and have a look!!!
