Judging by e-mails I've had privately, the additional London shows have put paid to the idea of going up North for many people. This is also the case of one of my friends and consequently I have a ticket for the Glasgow SECC going. It is block GG and is seat G18, which I am reliably informed is the middle-ish of the seventh row. This means you'd be in the action but not so far forward that you have to wear a neck-brace for several days after. The price is #35.50 (what we paid for it). If no-one buys it, I get loads more room to dance in, so I'm cool either way! Contact me off-list if interested. ___________________________________________________________________________ The subliminable footer says: To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 06 Sep 2001 10:25:54 +0100 From: "Simon Galloway" Subject: Re: [AVALON] The best line-up From: Simon Galloway > Ferry looks very Christopher Lee in that picture! >>> "Keith Shockley" 09/06 6:58 am >>> > Wonder if Peter Cushing was nearby..... I take it you've never heard Jimmy Scott's rendition of Slave To Love then? Now THAT is truly awful! Personally, I thought the MTT cover was tastefully done, probably one of the best interpretations I've heard of that song (3 others come to mind straight away). But you still can't beat the original, eh? :-) What's that? Other guys imitate us, but the original's still the greatest... Ferry walked off with the award at a star-studded ceremony in London, hosted by menbs mag GQ, leaving scores of younger pretenders in his wake. Ferrybs career has spanned three decades, and a high-profile relationship with supermodel Jerry Hall, but his striking looks and timeless cool continue to win new fans. Please, if you have the time take a look and let me know what you think. Of course, if you're really impressed you could make a bid and I will be able to afford to produce more artworks. To get there goto http://list.auctions.yahoo.com/uk and follow the links (Art and collectibles-art-paintings) and type Bryan Ferry in the search box. Happy viewing. And how do you know there is any truth whatsoever to these tales? How would you feel if you heard that somewhere someone had called you a washed up drunken bum, incapable of playing the faster licks anymore, and playing "Uncle Ernie" with the neighborhood children? You wouldn't have posted this if someone claimed Andy or Paul had been the lead in that story, why is it any different for O'List?
