So off I ran. It was fantastic. Absolutely amazing. One thing that really struck me was the age of the majority of fans. Late 30's and up. Being 19, it was weird, walking into the stands and all these people stop and stare at you! Quite freaky. I guess they didn't expect anyone under 20. And indeed, we checked everyone out and there would have been a maximum of 30 people under 20. Really amazing. Great to see the bois ( and girls) go for it. I actually didn't recognize Paul Thompson, as I've only really seen the picture of him on the inside of the first album, so I always thought he was a skinny little runt, and apparently not so. Bryan's suits were something else too. Loved the big silver one. Well I'm off now. Hope I didn't spoil any surprises for anyone. Off for now. Well, summed up rather neatly, Duncan. That's exactly what was happening to me. I was a major T.Rex fan - nothing could touch them - until one Sat morn in Feb 73, listening to Stuart Henry Show - just after the 10.30am news - straight into 'Pyjamarama'. What the hell was this ? The intro, and the great first line... "Couldn't sleep a wink last night"... That was it - off to Glorias Record Bar (really) and bought this gem. Then FYP, and the rest is hysterical. My brother had already bought V. Plain & Roxy 1st, but they didn't have the immediate effect that Pyjamarama, then FYP had, at the time. Side 3 is just as it shows on the second CD listing on your site, beginning with Sea Breezes, through Wild Weekend. The first note of Diamond Head slides directly out from the final of FYP, no break at all. Which certainly makes what's happened on your version a bit tough to explain... My CD version is fine, just listening to it as I type these words. Someone has probably made a pause while burning a CD. I like these helicopter-like effects that segments FYP into Diamond Head.
