You come on to a list. You think it's going to be supportive. You think people will be nice. You think people will overlook the perceived shortcomings of others. But oh no. Cheap snidy remarks. Just 'cos you can see me dancing quickly to that well known rocker 'Jealous Guy'. Just 'cos my ponytail gets in the way, I am subjected to abuse. Well here is a (rock) chick who just wouldn't take it any more. Who stood up to the bullies. Who refused to be mocked by the anoraks. Oh yeah and who can bully back. It's amazing what you can do with a javelin these days - isn't it Chris? Hmmmm. This time was only a warning.... Mmelle. Some examples (from my (25) point of view) of GOOD or GREAT bands being probably influenced by Roxy: late 70s: Ultravox!, Magazine, maybe Joy Division, Siouxsie & the Banshees 80s: Japan & Sylvian, Talk Talk, And Also The Trees, Ultravox/Foxx/Ure, OMD, Icehouse 90s: Pulp, Suede, Moloko, Radiohead, The Divine Comedy - - not including groups/artists simply NAMING Roxy as one of their favourites (e. g. Moby). These are the ones I (25) can think of now. I (25) must have forgotten several, any other additions???
